This is a really lovely family restaurant. It is situated on the coast road so the view is lovely. Our extended family goes there for all kinds of occasions and it suits everyone from the kids and teenagers to the Grandparents. It is casual, yet friendly and the service is attentive but not "fussy". The food never disappoints and is always fresh. There is a good variety on the menu and they cook everything very well. We also go there from our workplace for special lunches and everyone loves it! You can also drop in for just wine and snacks or dessert and coffee. ( you can see we love this place). The decor was redone not too long ago and is quite nice. However, the tables look a bit tatty and could do with a revarnish ( or maybe they're meant to look stressed!). It can also be a bit cramped at times but that seems more pat of its charm than a complaint. In recent times they've extended the early bird, which is great value. Well done Bay - looking forward to lots more nice times. Celine

I had dinner on Friday night with 2 friends and none of us could find fault with anything. I had chicken Bang Bang which was delicious, the sauce had a lovely creamy texture, slightly spicy but not hot so that the lemon grass could be tasted. The veg had a perfect crunch and were very tasty. The atmosphere was very relaxing, good light and nice music. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. For dessert I had a lemon tart with mixed berries; once again everything was perfect, texture, taste, presentation… and it wasn’t too filling. My friends had ice-cream: divine. I will must definitely go back.

The Bay Restuarant in Clontarf is an excellent restuarant and has been open for quite some time now. The food is top class. They have a great breakfast menu and the lunch menu is great. My favourite is the home made pate served with wholemeal bread and home made cranberry sauce. The fish and chip dish is one of the best in North side Dublin. There is also a great selection of pasta dishes as well as salads. They now have a menu with calorie counts and you can also order gluten free bread so they cater for all types of diets.

This would be my regular haunt whether for a coffee or a spot of lunch. You can happily sit here and read the papers which are provided for customers to browse through. The best place to dine is outside , with the lovely seaview , and they provide blankets in case you are too cold. I recently had the prawns and cous cous dish which was deliciously more-ish. Well impressed by this place!

I really love this restaurant, it is great for getting brunch on a sunny day, and if you sit outside the views are really nice. The food is great, and they change the menu a lot so you dont get bored if you keep going. Lovely place to eat in the evening when they have live music!!
