"lovely lunch"
I enjoyed a lovely lunch here; a great bruschetta - lovely melted brie and salad, a good dressing. The chowder was very tasty, the banoffee tasty and very fresh. The coffee was great, the service friendly. The sun beamed in and there was a lovely view of the sparkling sea. A treat, but I would make a reservation as they were very busy even at 12.20 a.m. we were lucky to get a table. read more...

"The staff was very friendly"
I had dinner on Friday night with 2 friends and none of us could find fault with anything. I had chicken Bang Bang which was delicious, the sauce had a lovely creamy texture, slightly spicy but not hot so that the lemon grass could be tasted. The veg had a perfect crunch and were very tasty. The atmosphere was very relaxing, good light and nice music. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. For dessert I had a lemon tart with mixed berries; once again everything was perfect, texture, taste, presentation ... and it wasn't too filling. My friends had ice-cream: divine.I will must definitely go back. read more...

"I can't recommend this place enough"
OMG I can't recommend this place enough. Had lunch there today, would recommend booking as it was very busy and I now know why. We went for the lunch special i.e. 2 courses for 16.95. We had a starter of bruchetta with brie, home made pesto and rocket, NUMMY followed by crab and crayfish salad. The dressing was mouthwatering good, pal 1 had leek and pea soup which she drooled over and raved about the fennel bread followed by fish cake, charcoal grilled prawns, asparagus and a hollandaise dip while the third in our little party had chicken breast with creamed potato, green beans in a piquant tomato sauce all washed down by a large bottle of sparkling water. We will deffo be back and cannot rate it highly enough. read more...

" My fish and chips (15.95) that followed were up there in my top three best fish and chips of ALL time."
After all that walking in the bracing wind and echoes of history, you will be hungry. Good thing then that you are just another short walk away from Bay. Run by sisters Niamh and Sinead Costello, this spot prides itself on being the first restaurant in Ireland to display dietary, nutritional and calorie information on their menus. It is a long menu, which always makes me nervous. Why so long? Is it to cover up the mediocrity of the food with an abundance of choice? As my friend Frances and I watched our fellow diners plates coming out, we figured this was not the case. Everything looked good.. read more...
